Safe transportation is an important part of responsible used oil management. Both Used Cooking Oil (UCO) and Used Lubricating Oil (ULO) need to be collected, stored, and transported with care, but they are not the same in terms of their safety and handling requirements. Used Lubricating Oil is classified as hazardous and therefore requires greater care during transportation to avoid spills, leakage, and unnecessary exposure.

Through this initiative, support for a dedicated collection vehicle helps move used oil more safely and more organised. It can also help collectors reach more locations and ensure that collected oil is transported through the appropriate channels for further processing and recycling.

The purpose is not simply to provide a vehicle, but to strengthen the collection process itself - making transportation safer, improving access to collection, and helping keep used oil away from places where it can cause harm.
